What is Boutiquebands.ie?

You could call Boutiquebands.ie a booking agency, but it’s a small and specialized one and that’s the way we’re going to keep it. It’s the booking site for just 4 bands exclusively, run by one person; Cormac Moore. Cormac has 20 years in the band business in Ireland as a musician and since has made his living exclusively through playing in bands and recording music. As well as managing bands for the last 6 years.

What are booking agencies?

Most Band booking agencies have a list of bands the length of your arm, and most of those bands are not exclusive to that agency, meaning that you may not get the most attentive service you want or the right price because you’re booking a band through a Third party.
Boutique bands.ie are not a third party as Cormac is the exclusive agent fro the bands and even If you were to book any of the bands though another agent, corporate event company etc, boutiquebands.ie absorb these third party so you get the band at the same price, but with us you’ll get proper service and all your questions answered at all times as Cormac only handles 4 bands and is dedicated to providing the best service possible to you.

Unlike a traditional ‘booking agent’ or ‘manager’, Cormac has a huge input with the musical repertoire, the look and the feel of all the bands. He shoots and edits most of the promotional video, keeps the websites and social media updated, answers any and all questions form clients personally and promptly, makes sure the bands fulfil all dates professionally and on time and that all sound and lighting and technical issues are dealt with for all the events.

Band/DJ Curfew Time

2am. The venue may have a slightly earlier one but DJ can continue until 2am as far as this contract is concerned).
If you want DJ to continue later than 2am this is possible with an agreed late fee (usually €100 per hour or part thereof after 2am).

Schedule of Fees

The total Fee of €2500 will include payment for:
-Pump Up The Jam 2 hour performance.
-DJ Declan Kelly to play before and after the band performance until 2am

This Fee includes appropriate Sound and Lighting for the duration of the performance of Band and DJ.

Curfew/Set-Up Times

The Band/DJ will not play beyond the standard curfew of 2am on the night of your wedding reception. If there is a possibility that your venue allows Music beyond this time, or you envision needing entertainment after 2am please call or mail me to discuss as this means extra money to cover sound and lights etc.

The band will set-up as quickly as possible on the night. There is a full sound-system, back-line and lights that need to be rigged which takes 50 mins using a 3-man team. If the band need to setup before the meal, appropriate refreshments (a meal) and a private room must be provided by the client for the 3 man team that need to be on-site early. At most wedding venures this is noyt possible and/or unnessecsary in any case.

Changing Facilities/Refreshments

The band will require a changing area of some description for one hour before and a half an hour after the performance time. This should be a secure area not too far from the Stage if possible. Delegate this job to the best man!

Power Supply

(applicable in the case of Marquees or when generators are used for power supply)
Power supply is the responsibility of the venue, not the band or their sub-contractors (Sound and Lighting). It is up to the client and/or venue to make sure that power is of sufficient voltage and power to supply the entertainment. The Band will not be able to perform if using a generator and the power supply is not rated correctly. We use a lot of expensive equipment that we cannot risk to insufficient power quality. Call or mail if there is any doubt about power. With standard permanently installed electricity there will be no problem and this clause doesn’t apply to most venues.

Terms Of Payment

Deposit:

– Payment of 10% Deposit of €250 upon receipt of this contract (by Paypal payment /Online transfer/ cheque/money order/ cash/) to:

-The Booking Deposit is non-refundable. The band will not reserve your date without a booking deposit. This contract is null and void without a booking deposit being paid. The only exception would be in the case of the band cancelling their appearance. This has never happened but in the case it could this would be only a) in consultation and agreement with the client and b) with at least 6 months notice.

Payment of Balance of Fee:

– Full payment of the balance of the fee of €2250 to be PAID IN CASH on arrival of the band, or at the client’s earliest convenience on the night.

(we advise keeping the envelope behind reception in a safe).
PLEASE NOTE: If you are allocating payment of the band to a best man or bridemaid (or anyone that is not yourself) then please supply their name and number at the bottom of this form and/or make sure they make contact with the band before the start of the show.
– Payment by Cheque/Money Order/Bank Draft on the night will entail an extra charge of 23%

Cancellation Policy

-If the Client cancels the band within 2 months of the agreed date, a cancellation fee of €600 is payable to the Artist.

-The Artist undertakes to perform under any circumstances excepting extreme instances of severe illness or death amongst several members of the band, or the Band ceasing to exist. If for any reason it becomes clear that the band cannot perform the client will be instantly notified and a replacement Band recommended. This will not happen within 6 months of your wedding. If the Artist does cancel for any reason, any deposit or monies paid will be refunded back to the Client.

-Pump Up The Jam has a strict policy of providing our clients with exactly the band (and members) that they book if at all possible. If, as occasionally happens, a particular band member is sick or indisposed, a suitable replacement will be provided and the show and setlist will not be affected. All 6 members of the band are full-time with the band and do not play professionally with any other band.

Sound and Lighting

Each band has a dedicated Soundman that does all of their events, with the choice of 2 sizes of PA system,depending on audience size – a wedding size EV system (for up to 250 people) and a dynacord XA system (For up to 1000).
Lighting is high-quality, DMX controlled LED (Draws less power but brighter than the old lighting systems). And all of this is orperated and setup at each event by a public liability-insured soundman, who unlike many bands who do the sound themselves, can operate the lighting effects throughout the set and be on hand to mix the band as they play and provide backround music or DJ also.
